Why not? You shouldn’t even have to ask for equality and justice.
Because it’s all about preaching what u believe in!! If u want equality and justice then preach that..not the opposite
It’s a constitutional right. You wanna preach go to church or stand on a soap box. No matter what give we should be given what we all deserve
But that’s part of the issue here. What hip pop portrays now tarnishes the image of what we pursue to be. Yes we deserve equality it’s a constitutional right. It’s just about having morals and principle.
NO THE FUCK IT IS NOT.
Please, whoever told you that you need to be dignified and proper as a black person to exercise your rights needs to have their ass beat while you watch and then you need a sound beating yourself as they watch.
If a goddamn serial killer who is white can have equality and justice under the law, you will not sit your fucking ass up here and tell me that ANY black musician, regardless of whether they rapping about drugs, money, or whatever the fuck they wanna rap about, will not receive the same.
Fuck you and anyone that has a but to add to that.
Lecrae needs to shut the fuck up, honestly. What kind of new black shit is this? Just because you do Christian rap doesn’t give you the right to say shit like this like you are above everyone else in the industry.
white people literally yell Odd Future lyrics at the top of their lungs, make rape jokes, destroy stores for fun, post all the drugs they do on instagram, and disrespect people as a joke DAILY but they still get treated like fucking human beings.
I really wish I had never seen this. Okay yeah everyone deserves equality and to be treated like a human. Let’s not jump on one of the few role models in hip hop that is worth looking up to. The person who said we have to practice what we preach is true also. We deserve to be treated as humans but if a black rapper only brags about drugs drugs drugs and then turns around and says kids don’t do drugs, where is the sense in that? That’s exactly what Lecrae is saying we rap about the stereotypes and employ the stereotypes that cause us to get into these situations how can we turn around and ask for mercy? We have dug ourselves into a 10 foot deep hole and now we are angrily yelling at white people to give us a ladder. No, let’s not get ourselves into these predicaments and we won’t have to beg for justice. We need more people who have this mindset. If we did, then those “non-violent” protests wouldn’t end up with rubber bullets in our heads.
